21:20 –  Matthias Dandois the current FWS 2018 leader takes to the stage!

Matthias is a true showman the way he connects with the crowd and takes them on a journey is something that has to be seen to be believed. He has many passions outside of BMX but he remains a true rider at heart. His run was clean and consistent as always and landed him 89.63 points enough to take second place going into tomorrows final.


21:10 –  Local rider Jean William Prevost draws cheers from his home crowd

He scores 89.00 putting him in 3rd place


21:00 –  Chilean rider Benjamin Hudson moves into 3rd

Hudson pulls off a super clean run earning him 85.55 points which puts him in 3rd knocking German rider Nikulski into 4th

20:50 – Alex Jumelin Smashes it!

An unbelievable run from a man who lives and breathes BMX. So technical and intricate and at the same time bold and creative. Alex scored a massive 90.16 which is going to be incredibly hard to beat.


20:35 – 15 year old Japanese rider impresses

Japan has a thriving Flatland scene and  young rider ISOGAI Takumi is a testament to that. He massively impressed during his run showing a composure way beyond his years. He managed a score of 71.66 which puts him in 5th place. You can be sure we will see more of this guy in the future.

20:20 – Kevin Nukulski throws his bike in jubilation

He knows that run was good and he get a score of 83.66 for his efforts, surely enough to earn him a place in the final tomorrow


20:10 – The experience of Viki Gomez shines through

Viki Gomez is somewhat of a legend in BMX Flatland, he has been on the scene for years and continues to impress in every competition he enters. He pulls off a clean, well executed run that lands him 88.93 points and puts him in first place.


20:05 – At the end of heat 1 Joel is in the lead

Tyler Gilliard had a difficult time on the stage and was unable to pull off a lot of the combos he wanted. At the end of the first heat the standings are:

19:50 – Joel BONDU takes part in his second competition of the day

Joel was so impressed with the atmosphere around Flatland at last years competition in Edmonton that he decided to enter this year. After competing in the BMX Freestyle Park semi final earlier today he headed over to the Flatland area to put on a show for his local crowd. He competed with out pegs on his bike which is super rare for Flatland and he took his experience on the Parks to the bring a unique flavour to the competition.


19:40 – Riders only have 1 run of 3 minutes to earn a place in the final

Riders will be split into 3 heats of 4 riders. After riders complete their run they receive a score and its that score that stands. Only the top 8 of the 16 riders competing will make it into tomorrows final!
